Thursday, June 8, is the last day of Steamboat Springs Youth Track and Field Camp at Steamboat Springs High School. This week, 192 kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade have been practicing their track and field skills, including rising 3rd grader Rory Kempton.
“It’s fun and you get outside and you get a lot of fresh air and it’s fun.”
Steamboat Sailor Track and Field Coach Lisa Renee Tumminello organized the camp. Of the 192 kids participating, 70 are in middle school, and there are 38 high school students helping with coaching. Some adult volunteers are also helping coach the camp. More pictures are on the Steamboat Radio Facebook page.
