STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-June 7, 2023-The Colorado Mustang Stampede shifts gears and will now drive into Steamboat Springs each Father’s Day weekend starting this year, June 15-17.

The Colorado Mustang Stampede first rolled into town last year and this year’s event plans much the same including scenic driving tours, meeting events and a car show. The Stampede brings together Mustang owners from across the state and region as well as showcases vintage to new editions of this uniquely classic American muscle car.

New this year, 40+ Mustang cars will depart the Stockbridge Park at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, and caravan down Lincoln Ave. This will provide an additional opportunity for car lovers to see the Mustangs run wild before they head out on a scenic tour.

Yampa Street and side streets from 9th to 12th Streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. The event begins with set up in the downtown river front area starting at 5 a.m., followed by Mustangs staging on 11th Street at 7 a.m. for car show load in (see map).

Saturday’s car show is a Mustang lover’s dream. Approximately 100 Ford Mustangs from throughout the years will be on display up and down Yampa Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Please walk bikes through the display venue.

In addition to the cars, a DJ will be spinning classic rock tunes and as well as announcing door prize winners throughout the day. Judges will eye each classification entry for quality of workmanship, condition and cleanliness with awards presented for the People’s Choice and judged categories.

Anyone headed to the free car show, should walk, bike, or ride the Free SST bus or use their lodging shuttle. Free parking is available in the Howelsen Park including the ski area, a short walk to Yampa Street.
