“These are local horses and we are just really making an effort to get them out into the local community, in Rio Blanco, Moffat, and Routt counties. Since these horses were kind of born and raised in Northwest Colorado, we should have an adoption event in Northwest Colorado.”

There are about 35 horses. The minimum bid is $125. Public Viewing is Friday afternoon and Saturday morning with bids starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Bidders must be present on site, at the Moffat County Fairgrounds.

Post office update Wednesday, June 15… The manager of USPS Strategic Communications for the WestPac (Western-Pacific) region, David Rupert, responded Tuesday to our request of WHEN Steamboat Springs residents will know about not having to pay for a P.O. Box any more, when they have no way to get service. David Rupert writes, “As we’ve previously relayed, there is a process to determine eligibility for each of the 7,062 Steamboat Springs Post Office Boxes. That analysis is active and ongoing.” But he added, “You will be the very first person we tell when it’s complete.” As always, I’ll keep you updated.

Here’s more on why we have been recently asking.
