“We are just really appreciative and grateful to the county for understanding the importance of having a safe and beautiful building for our staff and for the community.”

Art from local artists is throughout the building. One of those artists is Simone White, who is a graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, Class of 2021.

“I’ve been doing my art for two years now, since I graduated and I’ve been trying to pursue it as a full-time act and it is such an honor to be in such a community building but also with all these other amazingly accomplished artists. It’s a super huge deal for me.”

The new Health and Human Services Building holds offices for social services for the county, and Routt County Public Health, a community room and meeting spaces for the county.

The groundbreaking on the building was back in October of 2021.
