Asphalt patching is scheduled to be done on Soda Creek Bridge on County Road 36 Wednesday. That’s the road up to Strawberry Park. There may be delays but the goal is to keep one lane open.
Also, County Road 56 will be closed at County Road 129, which is Elk River Road, for bridge repairs. Detour on County Road 54.

Two Bridge Repairs on Wednesday, July 26, 2023
Steamboat Springs, CO, July 25, 2023 – Routt County Road & Bridge Department have two bridge repair projects occurring on July 26, 2023.
An asphalt patching crew will be working on the Soda Creek Bridge on County Road 36 tomorrow July 26, 2023. Work will begin at 7:30 a.m. with sweeping the roadway, followed by asphalt going down between 9-10 a.m. There may be a 30-45 minute delay during that time to dump and spread the asphalt. The goal is to keep one lane of traffic open, however there may be intermittent road closures to allow trucks and equipment to operate in that space. Please keep an eye out for flaggers in the area, and thank you for your patience as we address this necessary update.
County Road 56 will be closed at the County Road 129 intersection for bridge repairs. Please use County Road 54 to detour.

Also, the City of Steamboat Springs Street Department will be conducting asphalt repairs on the roundabout road at the entrance to Ski Time Square in the base area later this week. Watch for delays during the day on Thursday and Friday.

Ski Time Square Roundabout Asphalt Repairs Required
Temporary Detours & Flaggers Set For This Thursday & Friday Between 7am to 2pm
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-July 25, 2023-The city’s Streets Department will be conducting asphalt repairs on the roundabout road at the entrance to Ski Time Square in the Mountain Base Area later this week.
Temporary detours with flaggers will maintain traffic flows during the necessary repair work. However, motorist will experience delays in the area during the hours of 7am through 2pm on Thursday, July 27, and Friday, July 28.
The asphalt repairs are being accelerated as unfavorable weather is forecasted for next week.
These repairs require a specific range of temperatures and absence of precipitation around application for the asphalt to cure correctly when applied to the road base.
Motorist are asked slow down through the work zone, adhere to posted work zone speed limits and to be patient as delays are encountered during the two-day project.
