Singer Tori Kelly rushed to the hospital Sunday night after collapsing while out with friends, and is currently being treated at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles for multiple blood clots that were found near her vital organs.

Sources told TMZ that Kelly’s current condition is “really serious,” with the outlet also reporting that the 30-year-old Kelly was admitted on Sunday night after experiencing a rapid heartbeat prior to passing out while dining with friends at a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles.

Kelly appeared on Season 9 of “American Idol” in 2010 and made it through Hollywood Week. Following “American Idol” she began posting videos of herself performing acoustic versions of songs on YouTube and was signed to Capitol Records in 2013.  Kelly released her EP “Foreword” in October 2013 and her debut album, “Unbreakable Smile,” followed in June 2015, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. She is well-known for her hit songs “Should’ve Been Us” and “Nobody Love.”

In 2016, Kelly voiced the character of Meena in the animated film “Sing,” reprising the role in 2021 for “Sing 2.”  In 2019, she Kelly took home two Grammy Awards in 2019 for best gospel album (“Hiding Place”) and best gospel performance/song for “Never Alone” with Kirk Franklin.

Kelly’s new EP, “Tori,” is slated to be released on July 28.  It is currently unclear if the EP’s release will be delayed due to Kelly’s reported hospitalization.
