Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Scholarship Day at the Howelsen Howler Alpine Slide

All proceeds benefit SSWSC Scholarship Fund this Saturday, July 29

 

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – The Howelsen Howler Alpine Slide will host the SSWSC Scholarship Day on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Proceeds from the Howler Alpine Slide SSWSC Scholarship Day will support financial need-based scholarships to SSWSC athletes.

SSWSC provides sports and youth development programming for over 1,300 athletes in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Last year, SSWSC provided nearly $450,000 in scholarship dollars to 523 athletes.

Families and friends are invited to Howelsen Hill between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to enjoy the alpine slide, take a scenic chairlift ride, or ride up the lift with a mountain bike for easy access to the cross country and downhill trails on Emerald Mountain.

Cost is $20 per ride for adults, $17 for children 13 and under and military service members, $12 additional cost for child ride-along (must be under 48” tall and ride in sled with paying adult), $12 for round-trip scenic chairlift ride, and $20 per ride with a mountain bike.

Every ride, every day, benefits SSWSC athletes at the Howler Alpine Slide, but July 29 is the day that goes directly to support scholarships. For more information, go to www.steamboatalpineslide.com.
