Brian Krill has been on the job one month as of today, as the new Executive Director for Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. He says he is excited to work with such an accomplished club, and current U.S. Ski and Snowboard Club of the Year.
“I know that some people are asking, ‘What is he going to change about the club, with such a strong tradition?’ What’s cool is that one thing that won’t change is our dedication to our mission, participation, performance, and all the support that this community gives us.”
Krill says that community support in Steamboat Springs is very important.
“The community is dedicated to kids and activities and healthy living and that’s a perfect environment to do what we do.”
Krill says he’ll look to be more sustainable and sufficient so that the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club can continue to be successful for another 100 years.
Krill has three grown kids. His background includes being the Executive Director most recently for the Sugar Bowl Ski Team and Academy in California, and before that the Executive Director for the Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club. He was also the Director of Sport Education and Club Development Manager for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in Park City. He also spent 18 years in Crested Butte.
