The Routt County Fair continues in Hayden. The Grand Champion Market Swine goes to Michelle Gray, who will be an 8th grader in Hayden.
“Winning is very exciting. You know you’re getting better and all. My pig, I think she is a very good pig, so I think she definitely deserved it.”
Michelle’s pig is named Beth, after the character Beth Dutton from the TV series Yellowstone.
Brooke May got Grand Champion Reserve with her pig named MELO because it loves marshmallows. Brooke had another pig that finished in third place and that pig’s name is Donald. Brooke will be an 8th grader at North Routt Charter School.
The Grand Champion Market Pig (Beth) is the pig in the Kiss A Pig Contest. Vote for the person that YOU want to kiss the pig. You can donate through the QR Code on the poster. The pig kissing fun is Saturday night at the Junior Livestock Auction.
