Be aware of a nationwide social media scam that was posted on a local Steamboat Springs Facebook page, that has since been taken down. People are posting pictures of a sweatshirt with a Steamboat Springs design with an anchor on it. They say it was created by their “autistic son” who is looking for encouragement by having people order the shirt. Don’t go to the link. It’s a scam and they’ll get all of your credit card information.
Even more, the person posting turns off the comments so others can’t alert you that it’s a scam.
Be careful.
