“You plant bulbs in the fall so that they get vernalization which is the chilling period. They sit underneath a blanket of snow all winter and they pop up when the snow melts for a nice lovely colorful surprise in the spring.”

The flower bulbs are all from the Netherlands. Garlic bulbs are also available. The display is in the back of the Botanic Park, at the Trillium House. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

And remember, when you are buying bulbs, moose love tulips.

“The bond we have, honestly. Nobody out here gets mad at each other. We’re out here as a team. We’re a whole. The bond between the large amount of kids is huge this year and we’re getting good things done.”

We’ll be covering the Moffat County game on KRAI FM.
