A 17-year-old resident of Meeker died Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover. Colorado State Patrol says he was a passenger in the vehicle being driven by a 16-year-old male, also from Meeker. Both were ejected from the vehicle. That driver was flown out to another hospital. Colorado State Patrol adds that they do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. Names have not been released.

This came up because of the old mattress dumped at the corner of Tamarack and Fish Creek Falls Road, that’s been there for weeks. Steamboat Springs City Ordinance says you can’t do it. Instead, donate it or try to sell it online. If you see someone doing it, take a picture of their license plate and report it. And whoever left that mattress, time to go get it.
