UPDATE at 11 p.m. Wednesday – CSP Trooper Mark Hanson says seven troopers worked the extra patrol Wednesday for 40 hours. “In those 40 hours, we made 53 traffic stops. No one was arrested, but we issued 14 speeding tickets, four seatbelt tickets, one ticket to a distracted driver and five other tickets for various violations.”
The regional Colorado State Patrol office says they’ll be doing extra patrols today for the last day of the first hunting season. That’s Wednesday, Oct. 18. The troop wide strict enforcement starts at 10 a.m., running through the day and into the evening. CSP says they’ll be focusing on traffic safety in our area. Always wear your seatbelt. Don’t drink alcohol or consume marijuana. Arrange a sober driver. Never get behind the wheel drunk or high. And if YOU see dangerous driving, dial *CSP to report it.

Extra Patrols for last day of 1st hunting season
(COLORADO) – On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Colorado State Patrol, Troop 4B will be conducting a troop wide strict enforcement operation starting at 10 a.m. running the rest of day and into the evening. We will be enforcing Colorado Laws and focusing on traffic safety in order to reduce crashes on our roadways.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind everyone to always wear your seat belt and allow yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination. Additionally, if you plan to drink alcohol or consume marijuana, please designate a sober driver, arrange a rideshare service, or call a sober friend/family member for a ride. Never get behind the wheel drunk or high.
