2023/24 Howelsen Hill Season Passes On Sale

The Most Affordable Way to Enjoy the Winter

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-October 16, 2023-The start of online season pass sales at historic Howelsen Hill signals another sign that the winter season is just around the corner.

“The ski area offers some of the most affordable season pass options for individuals and families in Colorado,” commented Howelsen Ski & Rodeo Manager Brad Setter. “On top of that, we’re finalizing several on-mountain improvements including additional snowmaking capacity. Plus, the first snow of the season arrived signaling winter is on the horizon, so the time is now to secure your pass!”

Season passes may be purchased online at steamboatsprings.net/ski. In-person pass pick up and sales is also available at the Howelsen Hill Ticket Office during select hours.

This season, passholders can have their pass preprinted in advance by emailing the ticket office a photo. Photos must be of the person’s face only (no sunglasses, goggles, hats, or other people in the photo). If the photo is approved, the ticket office requires 48 hours to process the season pass.

Details on pre-season hours and season pass pick-up times are provided on the website and updated monthly. The ticket office will continue to sell season passes and daily tickets during normal operating hours throughout the season.

Historic Howelsen Hill is set to usher in its 108th winter season beginning on Saturday, November 25 and running through Sunday, March 24. The ski area will be open seven days a week with the triple chairlift running daily, conditions permitting. The Outrun Snack Bar returns serving up delicious items at affordable prices. In addition, again this winter your season pass will give you 3 days access to several other resorts including Sunlight, Snow King, Snow Valley, Mont Due Lac and Hogadon.

The popular Ski Free Sunday program is anticipated to start on November 26 and is planned to run every Sunday through closing day, Sunday, March 24 (conditions permitting). Hours, prices and information about the ski area, Nordic center, and daily grooming report can be found at steamboatsprings.net/ski or by calling 970.879.8499 once operations begin.

Owned and operated by the City of Steamboat Springs, Howelsen Hill is home to the acclaimed Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. The ski area, a city park, features affordable skiing and snowboarding across terrain catered toward all abilities as well as enjoys 13 miles of Nordic, snowshoe, and snow bike trails.
