Routt County ranchers and landowners showed up at a meeting with SBT GRVL owner and founder Amy Charity, in Oak Creek Wednesday evening.
“It’s been a good experience to really have these open dialogues with the county and get an understanding of what the concerns are. There are many things that SBT GRVL will be addressing.”
Charity promised that they are making changes such as moving the bike race route to less traveled county roads, improving on communication, adding a link for the locals on the SBT GRVL website, and going door-to-door to meet with landowners before the event, which is scheduled for Aug. 18 next year. Oak Creek Police Chief Ralph Maher thanked Charity in front of the ranchers for listening to their concerns and promising to take action.
