DECA places students in simulations of real-world business scenarios. Competitors rely on their preparation and skills to respond and create solutions to problems or opportunities presented to them as they learn about careers and industries that range from automotive to marketing to hospitality and dining to sports and entertainment. Competitors learn to think on their feet, to problem solve, to work as a team, to present, and much more.
The state event is Feb. 24-27 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. The top five competitors at state will qualify to compete at DECA Nationals in Anaheim.
Thank you to Cuyler Meade with the Moffat County School District for help with this story.
