The Veterans Center is announcing a $1 million CHALLENGE MATCH Grant for the renovation of the downtown Veterans Center building at 924 Lincoln Ave. Here’s Bruce Hannon.
“I was informed of this million dollar challenge match grant on Veterans Day, which they had waited for deliberately. They wanted to make a big impression on that. And they want the rest of the community to loosen the purse strings and support this very worthy program which will provide services to all veterans in all five counties in northwest Colorado.
The donor of the $1 million match grant has asked to remain anonymous. The connection was made with help from the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.
Donations can be made through SteamboatVeterans.org
Rob Perlman, the COO of Steamboat Resort, also stopped by to drop off a check for $2,500 to The Veterans Center.
