Everyone in the Hayden Valley School District sang and danced their way into a lip-dub video. They’re the Hayden Tigers, so the song was to “Roar” from Katy Perry.
It’s something Hayden Middle School Principal Vicki Blomquist (third from left) has wanted to do for at least three years.
“I used to work in Moffat County, and my children went through Moffat County schools and I had a high schooler who was involved in Moffat County lip-dubs. Loved those. I remember the excitement around those. When I came here and became an administrator, I said I want to recreate that excitement in our school. It’s happening this year, and it’s crazy and it’s wonderful and I’m really excited.”
All of the schools and teams were involved in the one big long camera shot to the video, whether lip-syncing, or smiling, dancing or cheering. They pulled off the performance Thursday and the one-edit video was finished late Thursday afternoon.

All Hayden kids are also now on break through the Thanksgiving holiday.
