The Colorado Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) and Gunnison County Stockgrowers Association have filed a complaint in U.S. District Court that could delay the release of wolves in Colorado. The litigation asks that the economic, ecosystem, and animal welfare concerns of Colorado livestock producers are adequately addressed before anything else happens with the wolf introduction process. The litigation seeks to delay the release of wolves until a proper Environmental Impact Review has been conducted.

The Grand County Sheriff’s Office has sent a reminder about warrant fraud. Someone calls and pretends they are from the Sheriff’s Office, saying the person has an unpaid warrant or court judgment and the charges need to be settled over the phone. Then they are transferred to the “Innocence Project,” which gets all personal identifying information.
Do not do it. Do not fall for it. Law enforcement will NEVER contact you asking for payment over the phone to clear a warrant or a court judgment.
