The Moffat County Fair will have a Demolition Derby this year. It is the first annual, scheduled for Friday night, Aug. 9 at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig.
Moffat County Fair Board President Call Camblin says a contractor has been hired out of Rifle to put on the event.
“It seems like everybody is really excited about it and we’re still working out the details for sure, but it sounds like quite a few people are very interested in putting cars in here and hopefully we’ll get a good amount of attendance that day, too.”
There will also be a free community concert after the Demolition Derby.
Pre-sale tickets will be available soon through www.MoffatCountyFair.com Pre-Sale tickets are $20. Tickets on the day of the event are $30. Kids seven and under are free.

The Routt County Fair will not be having a Demolition Derby this year.
