The storm that has hit Colorado is causing problems at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden. Eight of the 13 inbound flights on Wednesday had to divert to Denver, and then seven of those eight flights were canceled. 884 passengers that were supposed to arrive in Hayden didn’t make it. And 877 departing passengers couldn’t get out. Weather is expected to be just as challenging today.
Expect snow and very windy weather today with this storm. Steamboat Resort says wind gusts from 45 to 85 miles per hour will have impacts on operations and lift closures. Sunset Happy Hour tonight will be at Timber & Torch. The Town Challenge Ski Ascent Series for tonight has also been postponed because of the weather.
