Steamboat Springs City Council is holding a work session Tuesday to discuss Brown Ranch with the housing authority. Here’s City Manager Gary Suiter.
“I scheduled this agenda item well before the election date knowing that we would have to have a discussion with our partners, the Yampa Valley Housing Authority, win or lose. If the election passed, we need to discuss next steps. If the election fails, we would need to discuss next steps. Very simple and straightforward so we’re going to have a candid discussion with the housing authority on Tuesday to figure a path forward.”
That work session, titled Brown Ranch Follow-up Discussion, starts at 5 p.m. at City Hall Tuesday, April 9. One item to be discussed are pending grants for U.S. Highway 40 planning and a DOLA grant for the West Core Trail Underpass.
The Routt County Board of County Commissioners meets Tuesday morning, April 9. Commissioners will approve a letter of support for the Colorado Water Trust Yampa River Restoration Project grant proposal. Commissioners will also sign a resolution proclaiming April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The Moffat County Board of County Commissioners also meets Tuesday morning. Agenda items include an appointment on the Maybell Volunteer Fire Department Advisory Board. Bruce White has a report from Road & Bridge. Neil Binder has a bid recommendation on management of the ice arena. Agenda
Also, Monday and Tuesday, the Moffat County Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to participate in a workshop regarding predator management with members of the Wool Growers Association.
Last week, we told you about how someone vandalized the front doors at Wild Plum Market on Village Drive in Steamboat Springs, by throwing something at the doors and breaking the glass. We asked Steamboat Springs Police for an update. Commander Rich Brown did send an update that the alleged vandal is a juvenile, but no more details can be released because of his age.
