Many Hayden Tiger seniors and students were honored Wednesday at the End-of-Year Awards Ceremony. This is for academics and athletics. The full list with pictures is below.
The winner of the Student Body Outstanding Leadership Award was senior Grady Frentress. His name will go on a plaque at the entrance to the school.
“I feel like I’ve done a lot with the school and a lot with the community, and it feels good.”
Grady is taking a year off but then will go to CNCC in Rangely to be a pilot.
Three Hayden seniors competing at college are Chase Preston who will wrestle at Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota and Dakota Munden who will compete in shotput and discus at Trinidad State College in Alamosa.
Josee Smith will be on the Ranch Horse Team at Clarendon State in Texas.
And the winner is… Brody Frentress. The Hayden High School student designed the winning artwork for the new “I VOTED” sticker for Routt County. The new sticker will be included in all mail ballot packets sent to registered voters in Routt County for the 2024 Presidential Election.
The students gave a rousing send off to three athletes headed to the CHSAA Track & Field State Championships today. They are Jenna Kleckler, Ella Harris, and Dakota Munden.
