Roadwork resumes today after the holiday weekend.

That includes the concrete work on Highway 40/Lincoln Ave. in downtown Steamboat Springs this week. Expect some lane closures and remember to Zipper Merge. That means use both lanes, up to the merge point and then take turns.

Work continues on Hwy 40 between Rabbit Ears Pass and Kremmling on a new passing lane. The new drainage culvert will be completed this week and pavement improvements begins. Traffic will be alternating in the area. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
Paving overlay begins this week on Main Street in Yampa. The paving will cover 3rd Street to 5th Street.
On Memorial Day Monday, the men and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the U.S. military were honored and remembered.
That’s retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Wayne Brainerd from the U.S. Army, who spoke at the ceremony in Steamboat Springs. Memorial Day ceremonies were also held at the cemeteries in Hayden and Craig. Many more pictures are on the Steamboat Radio Facebook page.
Routt County Military Tribute Banners are lining Lincoln Avenue. They honor Routt County residents who have served. The tribute banners are also on display at Steamboat Ace Hardware.

The Craig Housing Authority meets at 4:30 p.m. today. Final pricing for the townhome units in the 8th Street Project will be discussed.
Craig City Council also meets Tuesday evening. A public hearing is scheduled for a Conditional Use application submitted by Mountain Property Builders to convert a portion of the Centennial Mall to indoor mini-storage and small bay commercial units. The contract with City Manager Peter Brixius will be reviewed.
Governor Jared Polis will be in Northwest Colorado to sign some bills on Wednesday. He’ll start the afternoon on the campus of Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs at noon to sign a Water Conservation Measures bill. Then he will go to Hayden to sign the Reauthorization of the Rural Jump-Start Program Bill and the Programs for the Development of Child Care Facilities Bill. That is at Bar-U-Eats, followed by Moffat County for another bill signing for the Rail & Coal Transition Community Economic Measures at the Marcia Pullman Car in Craig.

Routt County Commissioners have a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, regarding the Large Event Permit for the SBT GRVL race. Written remarks for the hearing are due today, should you want to send something in.
Monday night Youth League Hockey starts June 3, but the last day to register is Tuesday, May 28. This is for players entering high school in the fall or currently in high school. Link to register
