The 19th Annual Jumpin’ & Jammin’ Ski Jumping Celebration is at 11 a.m. on the 4th of July. Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club is hosting the nation’s best Nordic Combined and Ski Jumping athletes on the big jumps at Howelsen Hill.
Qualification jumping starts on Wednesday morning, and you’re welcome to go watch.
Then the Nordic Combined 1K Running Race and 3K Roller Ski Race is at 9:15 a.m. before the 4th of July Parade on Lincoln Ave.
Then make your way over to the base area at Howelsen Hill to watch the athletes soar 225 feet over the crowd from the HS75. Some food trucks will be there. The Alpine Slide will be open. Bring some water and bring some chairs. There will be a live band, Rough Stock.

Spectators are invited to join the festivities at Howelsen Hill after the parade at 11 a.m.
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – The 18th Annual Jumpin’ & Jammin’ Ski Jumping Celebration returns to Steamboat Springs on July 4, 2024. Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club will host over the nation’s best Nordic combined and ski jumping athletes competing on the HS8, HS45, and HS 75 ski jumps at Howelsen Hill (HS=hill size). The ski jumping competition will begin on July 3, with jumping qualifications starting at 9 a.m. Competition continues on July 4 with the Nordic combined 1K running race and 3K roller ski race at 9:15 a.m. before the Steamboat Springs 4th of July parade on Lincoln Avenue. Festivities ramp up after the parade at 11 a.m. at Howelsen Hill as spectators watch athletes soar 225 feet over the crowd from the HS75. Mountain Berry Bowl and The Spudd Hutt food trucks will be on-site for lunch, with cold beer and libations from Tito’s Handmade Vodka available inside the event venue. Chairs and umbrellas are encouraged. The Howelsen Howler Alpine Slide will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Visit www.sswsc.org for more information.
