
Kum & Go stores are closing and re-opening as Maverik gas stations in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. The switch has already been made in Steamboat Springs, Kremmling, and Granby. The Maverik website lists when each local store will close.
The website says the kitchen at the Kum & Go on Jefferson Ave. in Hayden closes this Friday, July 12, with the entire store shutting down at 6 p.m. Monday, July 15, and it will reopen Tuesday, July 23, as Maverik.
There are three Kum & Go gas stations in Craig. The first to close will be the one at 700 East Victory Way. The kitchen is already closed. The rest of the store now closes on Tuesday, July 16, and will re-open, July 23. This is according to the Maverik website.
The kitchen in the Kum & Go at 895 Yampa Ave. in Craig closes Sunday, July 14, with the entire store closing on the evening of Wednesday, July 17, and re-opening July 23.
The Kum & Go at 1302 W. Victory Way in Craig is expected to close sometime next week. That date has not yet been updated on the website, but a previous date showed July 18 for five days.

The Brown Bag Storytelling Lunch series is Friday at noon, at the Tread of Pioneers Museum in Steamboat Springs. Friday’s topic is “Celebrating Steamboat’s Summer Olympians,” with local Olympic athletes Annie Kakela and Fred Honebein.
