
Everyone is looking forward to the 106th Annual Moffat County Fair, Aug. 5-10. The fun is at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig.
Here is a list of the events and activities with great graphics of some of the bigger events below. Thank you to everyone associated with the Moffat County Fair Board for all of their hard work again this year in this annual event in the community.
Here are some of the bigger events for you to mark on your calendar.
Tuesday, Aug. 6, is the 4-H Dog Show starting at 8 a.m. Smokey Bear’s Birthday Celebration and Public Safety Night is from 4-6 p.m. The Craig Roping Club Jackpot is at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 7, is the Sheep Show at 5 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 8 is the Goat show at 8 a.m. The Beef Show is at noon. The PRCA/WPRA Rodeo is at 7 p.m. Thursday night with Mini Broncos & Bulls and Catch-a-Pig for the kids.
Friday, Aug. 9, is the Swine Show at 8 a.m. The Rabbit Show is at 11 a.m. followed by the Poultry Show at noon.
Friday night, Aug. 9 is the Demolition Derby followed by Live Music with Tucker Rose, and the Eli Mosley Community Concert.
Saturday, Aug. 10 has the free Pancake Breakfast in the morning, sponsored by the Moffat County FFA. The Cowboy Baby Contest is at 10 a.m.
The Pie Eating Contest is at noon. The 7th annual Derby Days have the Dog Races at 10 a.m. and the Horse and Pony Races at 1 p.m. The Hobby Winemakers and Homebrew Beer Enthusiasts have judging at 2 p.m.
Saturday night, Aug. 10 is the Moffat County Fair BBQ, Parade of Champions, and Junior Livestock Sale. this is also the Kiss-A-Pig contest to benefit the 4-H Council. Those up for kissing the pig are Nikki Robinson, Craig Mayor Chris Nichols, Mardi Anson or Moffat County Commissioner Donald Broom.
