A detour starts on Monday for Pine Grove Road between Mt. Werner Road and Central Park Drive. There will be a partial closure for construction crews to tie into a waterline main for a new hotel project there. Detours will be marked. It should last a week.

New Hotel Construction Project Ties Into Waterline Main
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-August 9, 2024-Pine Grove Road travelers that frequent the section between Mt. Werner Road and Central Park Drive will encounter a detour and a partial road closure starting Monday, August 12, and running through Friday, August 16, as constructions crews working on the new hotel project tie into a waterline main.
The contractor working on the Central Park hotel project needs to cut into Pine Grove Road to access and connect the facility to the waterline main. This requires southbound Pine Grove Road traffic to shift to the east to pass the pavement cut. The lane shift will be the only impact to southbound traffic.
However, northbound traffic will be detoured entirely around the impacted area due to the southbound lane shift during the week.
Snapdragon Way between the easternmost driveway and Pine Grove Road will see a full closure and left turns onto Pine Grove Road from eastbound Resort Drive will not be permitted.
This detour is anticipated to be in place for the work week and will be marked with signs and other traffic control devices. SST will experience no disruptions to its normal service schedule or routes due to the project detour/closure.
Motorists headed downtown, who may typically use Pine Grove Road, can take a variety of alternative routes around the work zone. However, the signed detour will route northbound traffic east along Mt. Werner Road, then north along Steamboat Boulevard, and finally west along Central Park Drive.
