SSHS Cross Country runners set personal records at Delta Pantherfest

The Steamboat Sailors Cross Country Track Team compete in the Delta Pantherfest Friday. The weather was warm and the trip was long, but the Sailor runners had 33 new personal records for the season.

The girls team had a partial squad, but still finished 8th out of the 17th teams in Delta. Ayla Oslowski led the charge, with teammates Tig Loomis, Novella Light, Emerald Weber, Gigi Lobeck, and Evie Fisher as point scorers for the day.

The boys team also finished 8th overall. Asher Rowan had a stellar finish in 6th place out of nearly 190 athletes, with Gavin Hendricks, William Reilley, Xavier Knott, Drew Picking and Benji Langness as point scorers for the day.

The Moffat County girls team finished 12th overall and the boys were 6th. Haven Carr had a top finish of 9th for Moffat County.

The Sailors are off this coming weekend and will have their last regular season meet on Oct. 18. The meet is being co-hosted with Moffat County at Yampa Valley Golf Course in Craig.
