The annual Screamboat Chamber of Horrors is not happening on the Steamboat Springs campus of Colorado Mountain College for Halloween this month.
This would have been the 25th year for the annual haunted house at CMC, which raised money for different groups at the college, to take educational trips.
A statement from CMC says those involved can’t do it because of other commitments but they do hope to do it again in the future.
CMC has an extensive collection of frightening props, stored in a shipping container and garages. Each year, 20 to 30 students help out with the multi-night scare fest at the college.

Here is that press release:
No Screamboat this year at CMC Steamboat Springs
Colorado Mountain College Steamboat Springs is taking a sabbatical during this Halloween season and will not be presenting its Screamboat Chamber of Horrors at the campus.
Though Screamboat has been an anticipated holiday happening, those involved with putting on the event were not able to this year due to other commitments.
The campus continues to look for local partners that could help with the production in the future.
The CMC Steamboat campus wishes everyone a safe, happy Halloween.
