Steamboat Springs Rotary Club donates $141,545.57 to Northwest Colorado Health
Celebrating its 50th year of service to the Yampa Valley, the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club on Tuesday presented Northwest Colorado Health with a check in the amount of $141,545.57. This donation represents most of the record smashing amount raised by the club at its annual LobsterFest Gala, which was held August 24 at Bob Adams Airport.
Gillian Morris, the co-chair of this year’s LobsterFest remarked, “Our club took great pride in raising much needed funds for home health and hospice services provided by Northwest Colorado Health, which is celebrating its own 60th anniversary of service to Routt County. We especially thank our sponsors, members, and the community for their amazing support of Northwest Colorado Health. It seemed almost providential that our event was held the same weekend it was announced that the Yampa Valley Community Foundation and Northwest Colorado Health had reached an agreement to purchase Casey’s Pond. ”
Steph Einfeld, CEO of Northwest Colorado Health stated, “We are extremely grateful for the support we’ve received from Rotary. Our organization depends on our Routt County community, just as the community relies on us to provide quality health care services for the residents we serve.”
As the Steamboat Springs Rotary Club celebrates its 50th anniversary, it was noted that since 1999 the club has provided over $2.6 million of philanthropic grants to our youth, to community projects such as Rotary Park, its boardwalk and Peace Pavilion, to community organizations, and to international assistance to rid the world of polio, to combat poverty and to provide clean water to the citizens of the world.
