Craig Rotary Club Honors Rosemary Crosthwaite with the 2024 Bill and Nancy Muldoon Humanitarian of the Year Award
Craig, CO – October 15, 2024 – The Craig Rotary Club is proud to announce that Rosemary Crosthwaite will receive the 2024 Bill and Nancy Muldoon Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Diamonds and Spurs Gala on October 19, 2024. This esteemed award celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the community, reflecting Rotary’s core value of “Service Above Self.”
A Lifetime of Service and Compassion
Rosemary Crosthwaite has been a dedicated member of the community for over six decades, consistently going above and beyond to support others. Her service includes over 60 years with the United Congregational Church, where she served on the Missions Committee and taught Sunday School locally and abroad. Rosemary has been a champion for education, dedicating 40 years to teaching preschool and actively participating in P.E.O.’s scholarship program.
Her compassion extends far beyond local borders. Since 1998, she has sponsored children in South America, and during her time in Korea, she joined the American Women’s Club to deliver gifts to orphanages. She also opened her heart and home by adopting a Vietnamese child and helping him learn English, along with adopting another American child. Rosemary has been a steadfast volunteer at Love INC (LI) for over two decades, supported mental health initiatives in Craig, and served on the United Way Board.
“Service Above Self”
“Rosemary’s unwavering commitment to community and service is truly inspiring,” said Tammy Villard, Craig Rotary Club President. “Her tireless efforts to uplift and support others embody the essence of Rotary’s motto, and we are honored to celebrate her as this year’s Humanitarian of the Year.”
The 2024 Diamonds and Spurs Gala will take place at Moffat County Fairground Pavilion on October 19th, where Rosemary will be formally recognized for her incredible contributions. This annual event raises funds to support Rotary projects throughout the year, continuing the mission of creating positive change within the community.
