Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is on stage at Steamboat Springs Middle School starting Thursday, Oct. 24.
“My name is Taylor Jenkins. I play Belle. One amazing thing about this show is the community that it is all involved in. We have worked together so well. My name is Tyler Sloan. I play The Beast. This is really good show because everyone is really involved. We have a lot of ensemble which is a good thing because without ensemble, you cannot have a play.”
Sixty kids are involved in the show between cast and tech crew and they’ve been working hard to make it happen for six weeks.
Shows are at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and noon on Saturday. Tickets are free but they must be reserved through the Steamboat Springs Middle School office and can be picked up at the middle school in advance.
Kendra Lovins is the Director of the play with Jim Knapp as the Music Director.
The Steamboat Springs High School Drama Troupe is going to the middle school to support the students there at the noon show on Saturday.
Many pictures of the dress rehearsal are on the Steamboat Radio Facebook page.
