International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is this weekend. It is being recognized locally, in Steamboat Springs Friday, Nov. 22. Here’s Mindy Marriott with REPS, which is Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide.
“International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is really a vital reminder that no one has to face their grief alone. It’s a day for connection, healing, and honoring those we’ve lost while building a community of understanding and hope.”
There is a gathering from 4-6 p.m. Friday in the Routt County Commissioners hearing room at the historic courthouse downtown. For questions, contact Mindy Marriott at 970-846-8182, or email REPSSteamboat@gmail.com

Three turkey hens from Hayden Fresh Farm will live out their days on a wildlife sanctuary. They were pardoned by Governor Polis in Denver on Thursday. The three hens were named in a contest. Lady Riketa Featherington, Dinger, and Rockette were on display with another turkey named Fred. It was a way to support local Colorado farmers and ranchers. Also at the pardoning ceremony were Colorado FFA leaders and the Colorado Department of Ag.
