Miller Family Appliance in Craig has announced they are closing their store. Miller Family Appliance has been in business, serving the Yampa Valley, for just about 20 years in Craig, since February of 2005.
Chris Miller is the owner/general manager of Miller Family Appliance.
“Thank you for the past 20 years to all the Craig and surrounding area people and customers. I’ve built a lot of relationships over the last 20 years. I also want to thank all of my wonderful employees I’ve had over the last 20 years. Tammy, that’s been with me for ten. My boys that have been with me. Thank you to all you people out there.”
Miller is aiming to close the store by the end of the month, but may stay open a few more weeks into January to wrap things up and clean up the building. He says there isn’t a lot left, but to come on in he’ll make you a deal.
The store will be closed this weekend, but they’ll be back open Monday morning, Dec. 16. They’re taking a group picture of the employees and we will add that to this news story.
As for the family involvement of “Miller Family Appliance,” Miller says he has five kids, and he is one of 11 kids. He’s in the middle with five older and five younger. He says when his mother died six (or seven) years ago, she had 40 grandkids, and 73 great-grandkids, and two great-great-grandkids. “And there’s probably been 15 more great-grandkids since she died,” said Miller.” There’s a lot of family.
