The outdoor sheet of ice at the Howelsen Hill tennis courts is open for the winter season. Here’s Howelsen Ice Arena Recreation Supervisor, Nick Carelli.
“It’s the Howelsen Ice Arena, and the crew members there that it has become a passion project of ours. We like to offer a different type of skating outside. With the snow falling and Howelsen Hill in the background, it’s magical spot that we believe the community really enjoys. Kids, adults, and all ages alike.”
The ice is available from 5-10 p.m., seven days a week, and it’s free to use. Bring your own skates or there are some available inside the lobby at Howelsen Ice Arena.
