Northwestern Colorado Troopers are on the Lookout for Impairment
Enforcement operation for December 20, 2024
(COLO) The Colorado State Patrol will be running a multi-agency operation to ensure that the roadways in Northwestern Colorado are safe for the holiday season. On December 20, troopers, officers, and deputies will increase enforcement of driving violations that are often the first indicators of impaired driving, such as speeding, lane violations, and aggressive driving.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind everyone to always wear their seat belt and allow plenty of time to arrive at your destination. Additionally, if you plan to drink alcohol or consume marijuana, please designate a sober driver, arrange a rideshare service, or call a sober friend/family member for a ride. Never get behind the wheel drunk or high.
The Colorado State Patrol along with other law enforcement agencies in Grand, Routt, and Moffat Counties will have extra patrols out looking for impaired drivers on December 20. If you observe any dangerous driving, pull over and dial *CSP to report it.
