The Steamboat Springs School District will be on a two-hour delayed start Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to extremely cold temperatures. The district writes that it is for the safety of all students. Bus routes will be on a two-hour delay. Staff should report to school as soon as possible.

Steamboat Montessori is also on a two-hour delay.

South Routt Schools and the Hayden School District will have a regular schedule on Tuesday.

Moffat County School District will operate as normal Tuesday but will take extra precautions across schools during drop off and pickup times to minimize outdoor time for students and staff. The district strongly encourages parents to make sure students are bundled up and safe.

 

Two-Hour Delay Schedules By School in Steamboat Springs: 

• Soda Creek Elementary School: 10:20 a.m. start time (students report to homeroom)
• Strawberry Park Elementary: 10:25 a.m. start time (students report to the classroom they are normally in at that time)
• Sleeping Giant School: 10 a.m. start time (full schedule)
• Steamboat Springs Middle School: 10:25 a.m. start time (full schedule)  (This time has been corrected.)
• Yampa Valley High School: 10:20 a.m. start time
• Steamboat Springs High School: 10:20 a.m. start time (full schedule)

Due to the extremely cold temperatures and for the safety of all students, the Steamboat Springs School District has implemented a two-hour delayed start for all schools for Tuesday, January 21.

Schools will start two hours later than normal to ensure staff and students can arrive safely.

Staff: Staff should report to school as soon as possible, as safely as possible.

Bus Routes: Bus routes will operate on a two-hour delay. All stops will be serviced two hours later than normal.

Two-Hour Delay Schedules By School: 

• Soda Creek Elementary School: 10:20 a.m. start time (students report to homeroom)
