Monday was Colorado 4-H Day at the Colorado State Capitol. Local 4-H groups were represented with 4-H students from Routt, Rio Blanco, Grand, and Jackson counties, as well as all over the state.
Students met with Governor Polis, Agriculture Commissioner Kate Greenberg, Representative Meghan Lukens, and Senator Dylan Roberts.
“4H Day at the Capitol is always a great time to promote agriculture in Colorado and it was so exciting to have so many kids from Routt County down here to visit with us and talk about the great work that they’re doing.”
That is Senator Dylan Roberts.
Eleven students were at the State Capitol from Routt County, including Tula Bringuel, Amelia Hagenbuch, Trevor Hagenbuch, and Emily Rossi.
The Routt County students also had a special audience with the Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture Jordan Beezley and the Government Relations Director for the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Tyler Garrett.
