Wildhorse Cinema + Arts is re-opening up Thursday with a list of new release movies, and a new photography exhibit. We’ll have details and you can find out more at WildhorseSteamboat.org
Ski Town USA Rotary Club is offering grants to any youth programming and services that benefit youth in Routt and or Moffat counties. Grant awards range from $1,000 to $4,000. The deadline to apply is Feb. 28.

Yampa Valley Community Foundation is announcing two new staff members. Camille Sachs is the Grantmaking Manager. Carrie Douglass is the office manager.

The City of Steamboat Springs has openings on local boards and commissions. These include: Board of Adjustment, Historic Preservation Commission, the Local Market District, Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning Commission and the Urban Redevelopment Authority Advisory Committee. The deadline to apply is March 7 through the city’s website.

Memorial Regional Health in Craig is hosting a Community Conversation on Women and Heart Health. It’s at noon Thursday in the conference rooms. Physician Assistant Kelsie Bond is leading the discussion. February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is a major health risk for women.

The Colorado State Wrestling Championships start Thursday at Ball Arena in Denver. There are 31 boys and 23 girls competing in the state wrestling championships from high schools in Northwest Colorado. We’ll have live coverage throughout the weekend of wrestlers from Moffat County, Hayden, Meeker, SoRoCo, Rifle, Rangely, West Grand, and Middle Park high schools. The Junior World Championships have just gotten started in Lake Placid, New York. The U.S. Team is well represented with Steamboat Springs athletes. In Nordic Combined, it’s Ella Wilson, Haley Brabec, Arthur Tirone, and Ethan Maines. In Ski Jumping, it’s Jason Colby (not pictured) and Sawyer Graves. Athletes from 21 countries will be there to compete.


Paige VanArsdale of Steamboat Springs is back competing in FIS Para-Alpine slalom and giant slalom after breaking her leg last year. She made the podium with a bronze medal at the Huntsman Cup in Park City last week.
