Black Sabbath have announced their final-ever live show, the all-star extravaganza dubbed ‘Back To The Beginning,’ which will take place on July 5th at Villa Park in their hometown of Birmingham, England. The event will see the band’s iconic line-up of frontman Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Bill Ward playing live together for the first time in two decades.

The sold-out final live show will see the original Black Sabbath lineup – Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward – return to play for the first time in 20 years on July 5th at Villa Park. Ozzy said in a statement: “It’s my time to go Back To The Beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love? Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

The event, which will be hosted and compered by actor Jason Momoa, will see Ozzy Osbourne play his own short set before joining with Black Sabbath for the final time. Newly-added performers on the bill include Tool, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Rival Sons, who will join Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon.

Others appearing at the all-day event include Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, Disturbed’s David Draiman, Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan, Anthrax’s Frank Bello, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Sammy Hagar, Papa V Perpetua of Ghost, Wolfgang Van Halen, Zakk Wylde, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, and Anthrax’s Scott Ian.

Former Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello will be appearing at the event and serving as Music Director. In a new statement, Morello described the event as “the greatest heavy metal show ever”.

Tickets are on sale now, with all profits will go to charities Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice – a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa. For tickets head HERE.
