Air service into Yampa Valley Regional Airport is expanding this spring, summer, and fall. United Airlines is offering a larger, mainline aircraft from Denver for the first time, and a new nonstop flight from Los Angeles. There’s also a nonstop flight from Houston. Southwest Airlines also will continue to offer year-round service from Denver.

United Airlines® Expands Air Service Through Summer 2025
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO – March 21, 2025– Steamboat air service expands this spring, summer and fall with United offering a larger, mainline aircraft from Denver for the first time ever, and a new nonstop from Los Angeles. Additionally, for the fifth year in a row, Southwest Airlines continues to offer year-round, non-winter air service from Denver.
“Continued service expansion to Steamboat through Hayden Airport during non-winter months are a testament to the continued success of the airline program,” said Dave Hunter, president and COO of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. “The larger aircraft and new Los Angeles flights from United as well as Southwest flights continuing year-round, improves access to and from Steamboat for both guests and locals to enjoy our community in all seasons.”
United will operate a nonstop summer service flight from Los Angeles on Saturdays from June 14 to August 16. A nonstop flight from Houston will operate into Hayden Friday and Saturday evenings, departing Saturday and Sunday mornings. Denver service will operate this spring, summer and fall with flights up to three times daily on a mainline A319 aircraft. The larger aircraft will provide a roomier cabin with 126 seats, and more checked and carry-on bag space.
For the fifth year in a row, Southwest Airlines will continue to operate from Denver. Offering spring service five times per week from April 6 to June 4. Southwest will then move to one flight daily from June 7 to August 5, and back to five times per week August 5 – November 1. The schedule for the spring and summer season is as follows:
