The Steamboat Sailors Track team competed at the Western Slope League Championships in Grand Junction this weekend.
Two school records were broken. The girls 4×400 ran a 4:08.17 with Ayla Oslowski, Whitney Warnke, Gracie Keller, and Carly Pappas.
Antigone Loomis broke the triple jump at 35’ 10” (Link to video). The Girls team took second place as a team in the region.
Janie Gonzales won shot, discus, and placed 4th in the 400.
On the boys side, Austin Prost won both the 110 hurdles/300 hurdles and anchored the winning 4×400 with Asher Rowan, Wrigley Neeley, and Matthias Wolf. Prost took home 4A Western Slope League Athlete of the Meet.
Brandon Kolb took first in High Jump and Triple Jump.
Coach Bennet Colvin says, “The kids rocked.”
