The Routt County Humane Society has asked for help with providing for some cats and kittens. They were found in the home of an elderly woman who was found to be deceased. Seven adult cats were safely removed and brought to the shelter. Faint cries from kittens were heard later so staff went back and found several kittens that were about two weeks old. They were alive but in critical need of care. The Routt County Humane society is looking for donations of kitten formula and cat food, and monetary donations to support medical treatment and care for the cats. Information on how to make a donation is at RouttHumane.org, or supplies can be dropped off at the shelter during regular business hours.

The Maybell Library started back in 1911 in a patron’s house. It is part of the Moffat County Library system. The exhibit will be on display throughout the week.
