The Camilletti family sends word that their barn is a total loss from Thursday’s fire. Their granddaughter lost her two 4H lambs as well as they were in the barn.

Friday is the 31st Annual Routt County Economic Summit presented by the Steamboat Springs Chamber and CMC, and the Routt Count Economic Development Partnership. The author of Billionaire Wilderness, Dr. Justin Farrell, is one of the speakers.

Tickets to this summer’s performances at Strings Music Festival go on sale to the public today. This is the 38th summer season for Strings, which begins June 27. Tickets for all of the summer concerts and performances go on sale at 10 a.m. at StringsMusicFestival.com

The Yampa Valley Choral Society presents “All the World’s a Stage, featuring Keri Rusthoi, Vincent Lee, and the Steamboat Chamber Singers. Shows are at 7 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9-10, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Steamboat Springs. Tickets may be purchased from any choir member or at the door.

 

The Hayden May Dance Performance is Friday night at 7 p.m. and then at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Celebrate the dancers at the Hayden Center.

 

Hayden Clean-Up Day is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, in the Dry Creek parking lot. De-clutter your house, garage and yard, and bring those big unwanted items to Dry Creek Park to get rid of them. There is a charge for some things like tires and electronics. Groups there to help include: Apex Waste Solutions, Axis Steel, Overton Recycling, Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council, West Routt Fire, Bear River Co-Op, Steamboat Springs Auto Parts, and the Veterinary Clinic.

 

Get your pet licensed and vaccinated at a clinic in the town of Hayden. Stop by the Dry Creek parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. The Town of Hayden will be there along with Routt County Humane Society.

 

Prom for Steamboat Springs High School is Saturday night, May 10. Students from Steamboat Springs, Yampa Valley, and Steamboat Mountain high schools are all invited to prom and After Prom. The high school is being transformed and the public is invited to see the decorations for After Prom from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 10.

The 12th Annual Axis Steel Recycling Fundraiser continues through Sunday in Moffat County. Bins for each school are at Axis Steel at 802 East 2nd Place. Safely dispose of your junk metal waste and raise money for your local school. The school with the most tons wins a bonus $1,000. The recycling fundraiser runs through May 11.

 

The 2nd round of the playoffs for the SSHS Boys Lacrosse team is at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, on the Community Field at Colorado Mesa University. Steamboat plays the Grand Junction Tigers. Listen on KTYV 105.7 Sports on FM and watch on the Steamboat Radio YouTube channel through our website.
