Seventeen Steamboat Sailors competed in the CHSAA State Track Meet in Lakewood over the weekend. Some SSHS school records were broken.
In the 4×400 relays, the new school record is 3:25.07, broken by the team of Mattias Wolf, Asher Rowan, Wrigs Neeley, and Austin Prost. They finished 7th overall, competing in wind and rain at the meet in Jefferson County.
For the girls team, then broke their own record that they set two weeks ago at regionals with 4:04.48. Those on the team are: Carly Pappas, Gracey Keller, Whitney Warnke, and Ayla Oslowski.
Austin Prost set a new school record of 38.51 in the 300m hurdles, placing him 3rd at the state meet.

Brandon Kolb tied for 7th in the high jump with a leap of 6’1”. Tig Loomis jumped 33.02.50 in the Triple Jump.
Three of the Unified athletes competed in the 100m and 200m events.
