Get to the airport with plenty of time.
United Airlines is tightening up its check-in and ticketing policy for domestic flights. Here’s Rochell Clark, the general manager for United Airlines at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden.
“Essentially our cutoff for check-in is going to be 45 minutes for both baggage and for obtaining a ticket. So unfortunately if you’re not checked in either online or at our ticket counter prior to that 45 minutes, they will not have the ability to do so thereafter and unfortunately will have to be rebooked for a further flight.”
The check-in cutoff time for international flights on United Airlines is one hour before departure. This means that if you are checking bags at Yampa Valley Regional Airport or any airport, you have to check those bags at least 45 minutes before the flight, or the counter will close. The new policy goes into effect on Tuesday, June 3.
