Yampa Valley Electric has a planned outage from about 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today in the area of Williams Fork and Hamilton. This is southwest of Craig. Autocalls have gone out to those affected. Upgrades are being done to the substation.
Steamboat Springs City Council proclaimed June 2025 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Steamboat Springs. Councilor Bryan Swintek read the proclamation.
“And we pledge to celebrate all LGBTQ+ people and to foster a supportive environment that condemns any and all bias against all LGBTQ+ population. So therefore, be it proclaimed that the Steamboat Springs City Council joins with its partners to proclaim June 2025 as LTBTQ+ Pride Month.”
There is a “No Place For Hate” Rally today, hosted by STAND, which is Steamboat Team to Disrupt Antisemitism and Discrimination. That’s at 5 p.m. today on the lawn of the historic Routt County Courthouse.
The 5th Annual Yampa Valley Pride Festival in Steamboat Springs is from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7. It’s on the lawn at the historic Routt County Courthouse. There is a Pink Pony Club afterparty at the Commons at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by UCHealth.
Today is the Y.E.S. Golf Tournament at Rollingstone Golf Course, presented by Young Professionals Network and Steamboat Springs Chamber. Money raised provides scholarships for high school seniors in Routt County.
A program for dementia caregivers is being offered from 9 a.m. to noon today at the library in Steamboat. It’s free, presented by The Alzheimer’s Association® and Blue Skies Nursing.
