Registration is open for the Listo Para Kinder preschool program in Routt and Moffat counties. It is offered through Comunidad Integrada Integrated Community (CIIC). The program serves immigrant and low-income families, and it is in partnership with local schools.

Classes start June 16-26 at Sunset Elementary in Craig, in partnership with Moffat County School District.

The program then continues July 7-24 at Strawberry Park Elementary, in partnership with Steamboat Springs School District.

All classes are from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday. Instruction is bilingual.

Classes are being coordinated through Integrated Community (CIIC), so do not contact the school districts.

Registration Now Open for Listo Para Kinder Program in Routt and Moffat Counties

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO — Comunidad Integrada Integrated Community (CIIC) is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Listo Para Kinder program in Routt and Moffat counties. This vital early education initiative provides preschool opportunities for children who might otherwise miss out on essential early learning experiences. The program serves immigrant and low-income families.

The Listo Para Kinder program, operated in partnership with local schools, offers children a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the school environment before starting kindergarten. Students attend classes on campus, helping them adjust to daily routines and build confidence in an educational setting.

The program will begin in Moffat County, in partnership with Moffat County School District, with classes held at Sunset Elementary from June 16–26. The program will then move to Strawberry Park Elementary in Routt County, in partnership with Steamboat Springs School District, from July 7–24. All classes run Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Families should note that all arrangements are being coordinated by CIIC—please do not contact schools directly.

The program offers bilingual instruction, providing crucial support for children with emerging English language skills. Parents can expect to see significant positive changes in their children after participating in the program, including reduced anxiety about starting school, improved emotional regulation skills for navigating new experiences, and increased confidence in the school environment. These outcomes help ensure a smooth transition into kindergarten for both children and their families.

“Each participant receives essential school supplies and a backpack, ensuring they have the tools needed for academic success,” says CIIC Education Coordinator Janette Najera. “By hosting classes in local school facilities, we create a seamless transition into kindergarten while providing crucial early education.”
