The Steamboat Springs Farmers Market, presented by F.M. Light & Sons, starts Saturday. You’ll find over 150 vendors at the Farmers Market each week. Lisa Popovich runs the Farmers Market for Main Street Steamboat. She says it’s a great place to get all your groceries.
“You can get meat and cheese and bread and jam and pork and cookies and banana bread and all kinds of things, and you can also check out some of our local artisans.”
The Steamboat Springs Farmers Market is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday this summer, through September 20.

Registration is open for the Listo Para Kinder preschool program in Routt and Moffat counties. It is offered through Comunidad Integrada Integrated Community (CIIC). The bilingual program serves immigrant and low-income families, and it is in partnership with local schools.
Classes start June 16-26 at Sunset Elementary in Craig, in partnership with Moffat County School District.
The program then continues July 7-24 at Strawberry Park Elementary, in partnership with Steamboat Springs School District.

Enjoy the Sound of Music at Strings on June 6-8. This is the local performance of the Trapp Family Singers and Maria von Trapp. The production is in partnership with Undiscovered Earth. The performances are for all ages, at Strings Music Pavilion. Tickets are available through StringsMusicFestival.com
The 37th Annual Overland Stage Stampede Rodeo is June 6-7 in Green River, Wyoming. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the performance starts at 7 p.m. There’s a child and adult calf scramble. For more information, call 307-872-0514.
The summer reading program for Moffat County Libraries starts Saturday, June 7. The Kick-off Carnival is from noon to 4 p.m. at the library in Craig. The theme is Color our World. Enjoy games, puppets, stories, crafts, food, special guests and more.
The 5th Annual Yampa Valley Pride Festival in Steamboat Springs is from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7. It’s on the lawn at the historic Routt County Courthouse. There is a Pink Pony Club afterparty at the Commons at 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by UCHealth.
The annual Huck Finn Day in Hayden is from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 7, at the 3rd Street Park. Dress up as either Huck Finn or Becky Thatcher and get a prize. Events include a kids fishing derby, archery stations, and a hot dog lunch at the park. Questions?

It is Free Fishing Weekend, hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Anyone can fish for free. You don’t need a fishing license. Fish anywhere in Colorado’s 6,000 streams and over 1,300 lakes and reservoirs on Saturday and Sunday.
June 7 is the Town of Yampa Clean-Up Day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or until the bins are full. It is at 101 Main Street behind Crossan’s Market. This is for Yampa residents only so bring a copy of your water/sewer bill. Residents may dispose of loads of trash or metal at $15 per load. Vehicle batteries are accepted. There is a charge for some items. A list of what is not accepted is on the Community Calendar on the SteamboatRadio.com website.
Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive is Sunday, June 8. Yampa Valley Sustainability Council (YVSC), City of Steamboat Springs and Clean Energy Economy for the region (CLEER) are collaborating to host an Electric Vehicle Ride & Drive at the Howelsen Rodeo Grounds Parking Lot Sunday, June 8. The public is invited to attend and test drive a range of electric vehicles, meet current EV owners and get their questions about EV technology and rebates answered.
Test driving slots are available from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. throughout the day. The public is also invited to attend an EV 101 Workshop from 9-10 a.m. hosted by CLEER at the Routt County Community Room (613 Oak Street) ahead of the test drives.
